The oil minister of Iraq refused any involvement in the seizure of an oil tanker by Iran in the Gulf in connection to smuggling of fuel.
The statement of the ministry said, “ The Ministry doesn’t export diesel to the international market.”
Iran had alleged that the oil tanker that has been seized by its troops in the Gulf in relation to smuggling fuel belongs to Iraq.
The statement also informed that concerned authorities are gathering evidence and information about the ship that has been seized.
Two of the port officers revealed that according to opening information that has been attained shows that the seized ship belongs to a private shipping company owned by a private Iraqi trader.
The guards’ commander Ramezan Zihari informed, “ The IRGC’s naval forces have seized a foreign oil tanker in the Persian Gulf that was caught smuggling fuel for few Arab nations.”SHARE ON
