Award-winning comedian Alan Davies is going to the UAE, to carry out at Dubai Opera on Friday, June 14. He’ll be signed up on stage by up-and-comers Rhys Freddie, Tom Lucy and also host Jarred Christmas.
Davies is best well known for being a resident comic on popular British game show QI, as well as the protagonist in the hit Bafta-winning BBC crime drama, Jonathan Creek, in which he plays a magician with a knack for solving ‘impossible’ crimes.
He started out in stand-up comedy back in 1988, and also was named as Time Out London’s Best Young Comic in 1991. Since then, he’s added sell-out tours, a BBC1 unique and a West Conclude season to his resume.
Dubai Opera chief professional Jasper Hope says: “Alan Davies is not just quite fascinating on TV, he is a comedy great as a live entertainer and I cannot wait to hear his brilliant wit as he can make light of life in the romantic setting of Dubai Opera.”
