Leaders of the BRICS nations came together in Rio de Janeiro on Friday to examine arrangements for the upcoming summit of the bloc. The eleventh summit is scheduled in November and is expected to be held in Brazil’s capital city.
The ministers reassured support for all international and national efforts towards “Afghan-led and Afghan-owned” peace process that will lay foundation for a peaceful, stable and secure environment in the country according to the statement from the summit.
They even conveyed their concerns over worsening conditions of Afghanistan and specifically increased frequency of the attacks on the security forces of Afghanistan, Government officials and civilians.
Ministers also agreed on progress in BRICS three-pillar-driven cooperation for various areas of the economic stability, peace, and security, people-to-people exchanges as they ensured promotion and protection for human and fundamental rights freedom for all.
