After Warduj and Yamgan, Afghan forces retook another district- Kuran wa Mujan in Badakhshan within a week.
Kuran is northeast Badakhshan province and had fallen to the Taliban nearly two months ago. The defence ministry said the Taliban suffere heavy causalities in the operation to retake Kuran wa Munjan district.
The district is popular for having lapis lazuli mineral deposit.
Now, the country’s national flag is flying over the district.SHARE ON
