The U20 National Futsal Team is going to enter the ground against Japan in the final match of the AFC U20 Futsal Championship with a high morale, the Afghanistan coach Abdul Razaq Mamrak stated on Friday.
The match is going to be conducted in the city of Tabriz, Iran, today at 06 :30pm Kabul time.
This is really the very first time that Afghanistan is achieving the final of the futsal championship.
Japan has won the title two times in its history.
The two teams played out a friendly match before the start of the AFC Championship, in which Afghanistan beat Japan 4-3.
“The players are in a perfect condition and the great news for the final match is that Ali Jafari, a very good member of the team, has recover and will join us in the match against Japan . All of us have a good morale,” the national team’s coach claimed.
Mamrak is coaching the U20 futsal team since 2013 and so far the team has scored 10 goals in the AFC U20 Championship.
The national futsal team member Sayed Hussain Musawi has scored six goals in the championship.
“We will appear much better in the final match and we will be the champions,” stated Jawed Safari, the national team’s member.
Kabul residents greeted warmly the success of national team and said they are going to win against Japan as well.
“I desire all of the Afghan people not to ever forget the national ( futsal ) team in their prayers . Afghanistan must win the championship,” stated Humayun Danish, a Kabul resident.
President Ashraf Ghani also appreciated the team’s achievement and had a telephonic conversation with the head coach on Thursday.
Ghani has sent a government delegation to Iran to support the national team in the final match.
The U20 futsal team has until now beat Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia in the AFC Futsal Championship.
