In Kabul, 40 employees of the presidential palace became infected with the coronavirus.
Previously, 20 infected employees were reported.
It is worth noting that since last week, President Ashraf Ghani has been participating in government meetings in video mode. All meeting participants communicate remotely.
To date, 1,005 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Afghanistan.
The country has an isolation regime until May 9. Citizens were forbidden to take to the streets without urgent need and gather in large groups on the street, and in Kabul, they completely blocked the roads.
The first case in the country was discovered in the province of Herat on February 24.
At the same time, the Afghan Ministry of Health predicted that 80% of the population would become infected with the infection. Now the government of Afghanistan is trying to keep the situation under control.
